The utility of Zoma lies in its relatively cheap wine list and in its appealing and shareable vegetarian combo. The latter features a choice of four of the menu's seven flesh-free main courses deposited on injera, the sourdough pancakes made from the millet-like grain called tef. Buticha is the best of these, a yellowish mash of chickpeas and purple onions with the texture of cookie dough. Among non-vegetarian courses, check out doro wett-a piece of chicken and a boiled egg in thick red chile paste. The decor is museum-style, and eating is done with the fingers of your right hand.
