Description

Tucked into the Pavilions in Surprise, this casual neighborhood restaurant offers fresh, delicious food at reasonable prices. Breakfast favorites include moist and tender Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, and for breakfast or lunch, there's the Pile Up, a pair of potatoes stuffed with onions, bell peppers, bacon, sausage, and ham and topped with scrambled eggs, pepper jack and cheddar cheeses, and served with sides of salsa and sour cream. At dinnertime, there's Gina's Blunderbust Chicken, a juicy blackened chicken breast, julienned and tossed in Zen's tart, spicy Blunderbust sauce and served over linguini.

Worst Restaurant in Surprise and Maybe the Whole Valley is Zens Cafe You do not want to Work there! The man is a CROOK! He pays his employee's each pay period with rubber checks. They bounce better than any rubber ball your kid has, guarenteed. He then makes the employee's wait a week or more to cash it, while they work for free! The man is clearly in violation of State and Federal Labor laws. He enjoys playing games with his employee's, talking out of two sides of his mouth. And takes money out of their paychecks for reasons he is not allowed to by employment and labor laws as well. He also has the place wired to the hilt with cameras so he knows exactly what you do, but then later will play games say your not doing your job when you have. The man is on a ego trip that does not stop after opening a 2nd restaurant, and he boasts and brags about opening a 3rd restaurant....but the Guy has no money in his payroll account for the hard workings employee's that already worked their time and hours and only get played with by The BIGGEST CHEAP SKATE in Surprise. He lets so-called managers think they run the place and play their own ego trip games, trying to inforce meetings with no notice, and make employee's stay over and work when they where not scheduled so they can sit at the bar in the restaurant (the one they pretend to manage for Adrian) after their shift and get drunk while their own sits a booth waiting for them. What does this say to the customer that see's this so called manager getting drunk at work after hours. What would you think as a customer to see your server slash pretend GM sitting at the bar soaking it up after you have seen her serve you on different occasions. And her kid waiting in a booth to boot. What does this say to you about this business Owner? He has no morals, and is a crook. In many violations with the State and Federal governement over labor laws, and god knows what else. The guy probably does pay all his taxes either. Con men like him usually screw everybody over not just their employee's. He plays his staff, including the management. It's no wonder why cooks and wait staff can be heard yelling at one another in the restaurant over orders in the kitchen when Adrian is not their, he does not know how to keep his employee's happy or how to run a business with out running it as a CROOK. The food there is low on flavor and eye appeal.....poor diner quality food. The service used to be good, but not anymore. He lost some of his best people playing his games with them over pay, and what not. Boycott Zens' Cafe the guy is a Dirt bag, and a cheap skate. Why would you want to eat at a restaurant where a man treats his employee's so bad, and the food is sub par and expensive for bad quality.
