Description

Opened in 2000, Zen Bar Addison Circle has become a popular hangout for folks who live in the many apartments nearby. (Zen has a golf cart for take-out deliveries to those who don't want to leave home to get dishes such as Jamaican jerk chicken and pineapple rice or chicken-lime tacos.) Inside, the vibe's appropriately Zen-like with candles and paper lanterns providing a warm, inviting glow in the dark, smoky dining and bar areas. Out back has an open-air patio for non-smokers. With plenty of HDTVs, expect large crowds on game nights. Evenings Thursday through Saturday, DJs liven up the dance floor. Zen encourages regulars to join its Facebook page to keep abreast of trivia nights, theme parties, pub crawls, drink specials and "resident appreciation parties."
