Taking the plebian diner burger as its prototype, Zaitzeff makes patchwork upgrades, and doubles the price. It might just be worth it. The quarter-pound sirloin burger comes deposited on a sweeter, more finely textured bun heaped with sautéed onions, plenty of romaine, and red ripe tomatoes. For just a little more, you can have a Kobe burger, but don't bother. There's also a BLT, a veggie burger, a turkey burger, and various egg sandwiches. The fries and sweet potato fries come separately, and they're great-except for a notable lack of salt.
