Founded by a two Cuban women and an Argentinian man, Zafra is one of the rare pan-Latin cafés that actually works-that is, the dishes representing various cultures are true to their roots and also taste good. Select from a diverse menu of Mexican tamales, Peruvian ceviche, Cuban pressed sandwiches, Spanish tapas-bar standards such as stuffed red peppers smothered in cheese, and best of all, a nicely cooked Argentine skirt steak nearly a foot in length accompanied by fresh-tasting chimichurri. The sunny corner location and BYOB alcohol policy only add to the excitement.
One of the top cuban restaurants in Hoboken. Family owned (along with Cucharamama a block away) this restaurant offers fantastic Yuca fries, Patatas Bravas and few others to start with as well as a variety of main dishes that are simply fabulous. Very small, but takes reservations and has outside seating in the summer. BYOB so bring wine as they make absolutley spectacular sangrias!
