A lovely find: This small mom 'n' pop restaurant in the avenues is surprisingly posh (wrapped in warm polished wood halfway up its creamy walls) and comfortable. It features well-made classic sushi and sashimi alongside other Japanese dishes. In addition to impeccably fresh fish, you'll find izakaya small plates: Try the simmered pork belly and the broiled eggplant. The deluxe chirashi sashimi over rice is a beautifully arranged bouquet.
