People take their yoga as differently as they take their coffee. Some like it outdoors, some indoors. Some hot, some cold, some room temp (actually, scratch that -- no one likes coffee at room temp). But unlike the frantic cravings and caffeine highs of coffee, yoga stimulates its practitioners through specific motions, a serene state of mind, and a goal of inner and spiritual growth. And what better place to host these goals than in nature? Take a yoga class in the park, led by Lynette Culp, a certified hatha yoga instructor.
Sessions begin at 3:45 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Secret Woods Nature Center, located at 2701 W. State Road 84 in Dania Beach. Each class costs $10, but entrance to the park is free. Be sure to bring a mat. Call 954-357-8884, or visit broward.org/parks/secretwoodsnaturecenter.
