Jon and Lindsay Barrilleaux own a deceptively named restaurant. It's not frequented by hobbits, nor does it serve Anglo-Irish favorites -- well, with a few exceptions. (Everyone knows fish and chips are must-haves at any place with the word "tavern" in its name.) Really, Ye Shire is an American-style pub, with the wood paneling common in Irish pubs, plus it's the size of a German beer hall. The couple's Richardson restaurant has two spacious dining rooms, a roomy granite bar and an outdoor patio from which to enjoy customer-favorite fried mozzarella or the self-proclaimed "best prime rib in Dallas." Still, it retains the charm of local watering hole reflected by regulars enjoying drinks from the extensive beer and spirits options.
