Take our advice and stick with the noodles at this Japanese ramen bar that overextends itself with sushi and salads and fried stuff. A favorite of our crew one evening was spicy miso men (the menu makes the same male-stamina jokes as Tokyo La Men), a deep clay bowl tinted sienna topped with a couple of head-on shrimp, which enrich the broth immeasurably. The hot-weather choice is yama soba salad, featuring buckwheat noodles with shredded laver and a welcome strewing of pine nuts. The interior of this noodlery is more picturesque and comfortable than you'd expect. Another plus: open till 11 every evening.
