A self-proclaimed "Chicago" bar, Wyman's No. 5 has all the trimmings of a Windy City spot: The Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs all get television priority on game days, and an extensive menu overflows with Chicago-style dogs and deep-dish pizza options. But the neighborhood hangout is all Colorado in its attitude, with bartenders who remember your name after one visit and a warm wood interior that feels neither stuffy nor pretentious. The only thing to rival its great bar cuisine is the draft beer, with all tap lines running through a complex triple-cooling system that ensures an icy brew.
There's no shame in giving thanks at the bar as opposed to the table, or in taking a break from the family to catch a quick buzz -- which is why many local watering holes will be open on Thanksgiving.... More »
It's the brew-soaked dream of any drinking-age guy -- or gal -- to own a great bar. And to own close to twenty of them? That's a drinking dream come true. Since he foundedThe Little Pub Company in 199... More »

When the planets align, Institute members answer that primal call to go out and get overserved -- no matter what else may be going on, and no matter who drops the organizational ball. On this particular evening, it was JP and me -- but our group... More »
The absolute best Deep Dish in all of Denver. Amazing crust, amazing sauce, plenty of topping options and variations. To be honest, I've never had anything other than Pizza here so I don't know how everything else is. Good drinks on tap, friendly staff, but the Pizza is so damn good, I'd still come here if it was a sh*thole filled with jerks. Luckily it is not the case and always makes for a great meal. Oh, and did I mention the Pizza?
I get a pizza called the guido or Sinatra or some old guy's name and it's greatness. Cool neighborhood bar.
