We love everything about this Castro crab shack: its snug, clean, white-walled and tiled room; the tasty food that comes from its open kitchen; and the reasonable prices, whether you're ordering a bowl of creamy clam chowder or a big, beautiful whole Maine lobster. The fish and chips are excellent, featuring cod in a crisp batter made with Anchor Steam beer and french fries that are large and floury. The simple lobster roll is stuffed with big chunks of meat, lightly coated with mayo and garnished with a bit of chopped green onion. The attention to detail at this seafood restaurant is exemplified by the do-it-yourself lemonade, accompanied by house-made sugar syrup. We wish Woodhouse Fish Company took reservations.
