Living in a town packed with chain wine megastores like ABC Wine & Spirits and Total Wine had winos thirsting for a proper wine shop. Enter Wine Watch. If there is one thing proprietor Andrew has, it's a palette for vino. Like wine aficionados the world over, his prospective is of a taster, not a maker. He's obsessed with the customer's selection process and loves helping customers choose a wine that will match with their food. In fact -- disclaimer -- he serves as master sommelier for New Times' annual Pairings event, matching wines with specific dishes from South Florida's finest restaurants. But Andrew works his magic on a small scale too -- come in with a dinner party menu and his staff will have you set up with libations for the whole evening. The shop also has a catering company.
Here it is: another start to a fabulous workweek. Whether you're actually excited about it or just going through the motions, there are plenty of things happening in South Florida to occupy your time... More »

Wine. It's both the nectar of the gods and a royal pain in the neck. If your idea of a good wine is whatever's the supermarket twofer, then you need gentle education. Wine Watch gives you just that. Sure, the selection is intimidating at first -- look at all the labels! Some of them aren't even in English! Plus what the hell's the difference between a Cabernet and a Rioja, anyway? With thousands of wines to choose from, how are you going to know which goes with the leftover pizza in the... More »
A vast selection of varietals, wallet-friendly prices, an informed staff, and delicious catered eats -- wine snobs don't expect anything less from a shop. At Wine Watch, proprietor Andrew Lampasone believes "you should have between three and five glasses of wine a day." In that case, we better get sipping. Good thing his shop features more than 3,000 wines, with tastings offered regularly. Sample a great-tasting weekday bottle, then procure a celebratory champagne from a few... More »
I do not recommend at all to order with those people ! I placed an order and paid for it to be shipped by plane - they sent it via UPS !! I do not have any idea where are the wines I paid for and it's been 3 days nobody is answering... everything is paid... nothing arrived and nobody is answering calls or emails...
Those people are totally irresponsible... they propose to ship wine anywhere in the country. So I did place a very lucrative order for their shop... THEY SHIPPED THE WINE VIA UPS... how can they tell themselves professional in wine when they have no clue on wine temperature conservation and have it shipped in a truck driving across the whole country in the hottest period of the year !!!
If they are able to have such small judgment for wine shipment we can easily imagine how they keep it in the shop.... I would not recommend spending a fortune with this shop, it can only be a disappointment
