This isn't your standard Mexican-American restaurant buried in a suburban strip mall. Wild Salsa sits smack in the middle of downtown, across from the lush grass, sculptures and dog walkers of Main Street Garden. Serving up great tacos priced from $2.50 to $3.50 apiece and clever sides, like dressed-up elotes and black bean cakes, the menu stays true to its Mexican roots. There are no cheese-sauce enchiladas or other Tex-Mex favorites here, just honest Mexican cooking served with round after round of warm tortilla chips and tart salsa verde.
