Since 1988, Wattana Thai has been a West Palm Beach favorite for Thai. It's a friendly, family-owned spot on Dixie Highway that's small, with a cozy if basic atmosphere with tables and booths. Changes over the past few years feature more Americanized versions of Thailand's traditional dishes. Panang and massaman curries are house specialties; pad Thai, tom kai gai, crispy duck, fresh spring, and summer rolls please diners. Seafood curry, a whole red snapper with sweet red chili sauce, chicken papaya salad, and sea bass with miso sauce are other specialties. A new Japanese menu has recently been added; tofu dishes, seafood and noodles, and stir-fry dishes are available. Lunch specials and takeout are popular here.
