This sunny, yellow cafe, halfway between Volunteer and Interlaken parks, is the place all the neighbors stop in for something simple, like a scone, a sandwich, or a piece of cake. Except that something isn't so simple: The scones break apart in crusty-edged, buttery slabs; a pressed panini contains roasted mushrooms slathered in caramelized onions and oozy tellegio. "Always Fresh Goodness" is Ericka Burke and Heather Earnhardt's motto, and they hold tight to it, three meals a day. Check the website for their wine dinners, when the chefs really cut loose.
