If you’re a baby boomer or younger, you might feel a little conspicuous at this elegant Scottsdale fine-dining spot, which draws a refined older crowd that retires early for the evening -- the dining room feels deserted come 9 o’clock. But it’s all good. The staff is welcoming, and the classic French cuisine is meticulously prepared, from intensely savory onion soup and silky sea scallops in a delicate white wine cream sauce, to juicy steak au poivre and succulent sauteed veal with lemon butter and capers. If you can, go on a Thursday evening to hear live classical guitar.
