Description

The decor at the spacious corner storefront is of zero interest, so we'll skip it. That the food is much more beautiful than the room is demonstrated by the Mediterranean vegetable platter, an eye-clobbering entrée crowned by grilled asparagus teetering on a lush selection of vegetables. There are also firm mozzarella balls slurried with flavored oil, a sweet ratatouille with crunchy celery highlights, and a cold couscous, bumpy with garbanzos, impinging on lurid green hummus. A topo map of color and terrain, this salmagundi is a perfect mood elevator for anyone morosely contemplating the perpetual traffic jam outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.
