Located across from Greenwood Cemetery since 1976, VIP's indulges the notion that it is haunted. A poster by the door even says so. The place is a one-room dive painted with murals by local artists. Dragons, suns and jungles share the walls with full-length mirrors around a comfy L-shaped bar. The name is ironic at best, but the dive has a certain charm to it, the staff pleasantly gruff but chatty. Shuffleboard, darts and pool entertain long-time regulars and TCU students seven days a week, offering cheap, beer, Jell-O shots and fresh tamales.
