The Versailles chain of restaurants are the most well-known Cuban dining spots in Los Angeles. Locations vary in size, but all have a large menu serving traditional Cuban staples like arroz con polllo, and the shredded beef dish ropa vieja. The most widely popular entrée though, and the most often seen on tables, is their garlic chicken - a half-bird marinaded in garlic sauce, then roasted and served with onions, rice, beans and fried plantains.
Old School Cuban food in an old school setting. Lots of garlic and unbelievable Fried Plantains. Reminds me of Miami. Inexpensive.
