Description

Time-honored continental destination tucked away on an upscale corner of Nob Hill serves expense-account Italian fare (scampi, veal scaloppine, chicken Marsala, etc.) in a rustic yet elegant setting of candlelit napery, murmured conversation, and gleaming woodwork. The tiny upstairs bar is a classy place to sip a negroni or a something from the impressive wine list. Tall windows afford postcard bay views, the Hyde Street cable car chugs past now and then, and a centrally located wood-burning oven adds that warm and cozy feeling.
