A health conscious Urth Caffe prides itself in being one of the first organic coffee companies in the U.S. Its West Hollywood location, which opened in the early '90s, is often bustling with hip patrons waiting in line for their coffee, creative tea drinks, baked goods (including seasonal pumpkin pie), as well as savory items such as sandwiches, soups, salads and breakfast foods.

When I’m in L.A., I like to hit up Urth Caffe. It’s a different taste. It’s a break from the normalcy of IHOP, Denny’s and Waffle House. People are always particular about the food and the restaurants they eat at, but when you find something that gives you a taste that’s unique, you tend to stick with it, especially if you like it.

Cozy little Urth Cafe on Melrose. Good variety of sandwiches, soups, pastries, desserts, teas and coffee. On cold days, the fireplace is on. Nice outdoor seating. Good place for people watching. Always been a Favorite of mine. $
