I get a warm feeling when I remember Benetton's 1980s heyday, when their clothes were coveted by all the cool kids in my class, and their shocking at the time, gentle in retrospect left-wing politics were the subject of much debate. There's not much of that in evidence now, or it seems silly and worn this many years on, but you can still rely on the United Colors (what does that mean, really?) for some cute, fashionable staples.
