The Unicorn on Capitol Hill has quickly become a favorite hangout for hipsters since opening in the space formerly occupied by the Satellite Lounge. MGMT plays on the jukebox and the smell of fried food lingers in the air. Guys in skinny jeans, girls with side-swept bangs, corn dogs, and well drinks occupy every table. Admittedly, it's easy to understand the appeal of the Unicorn. It's a charming creature that bares a striking resemblance to a Betsey Johnson boutique, adorned with bright colors, zebra and floral print furniture, and chandeliers. Animal heads are mounted above a sparkly turquoise and pink bar. The menu features carnival fare like corn dogs, popcorn, and elephant ears, as well as less appetizing options like Unicorn Balls (fried pork stuffed with cheese) and Unicorn Jizz (a cocktail with Absolute Mango and Triple Sec). Very cute.
