Is there a more lovable symbol of America than Uncle Sam’s? Probably not. And it’s no surprise that the restaurant named for the iconic figure would serve some lovable American fare. Uncle Sam’s specializes in East Coast casual cuisine like pizza, cheesy grilled chicken and mushrooms, and Strombolis filled with ham, pepperoni, sausage, steak, and veggies. Among the extensive sandwich selection of grinders and hoagies is an incredible cheesesteak. The enormous Italian bread torpedo is brimming with juicy sliced meat, draped in gooey cheese, and a chock full of extras like pizza sauce, mushrooms, peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and hot or sweet peppers. The sandwiches are so big you can make a personal eating contest out of trying to finish one. The family-owned restaurant with locations in North Phoenix, Peoria, and Scottsdale also has finger-lickin’ good fried wings in Buffalo, BBQ (wussy), suicide, and honey hot.
