Description

Nestled into a far corner of the tiny strip mall just across the street from Mesa Community College, Uncle Monkeys exudes a certain level of charm. A cigarette vending machine glows near the door, and a wooden Native American statue stands watch over the jukebox, seemingly offering approval to any listening choices patrons make (word is he's a fan of "Buffalo Soldier"). Established way back in 1981, the bar is cash only, and features karaoke sessions every night starting at 9 p.m. Guitars line the walls alongside various biker paraphernalia, statues of monkeys (natch), and advertisements for the bars ladies night every Tuesday. It's a popular affair, where girls and gals get $2 you-call-it specials on drinks, including the cheekily named "Monkey Wiz" (a special blend of various juices and banana liqueurs). After a few sips, it won't take long to build up the courage to belt out your favorite classic rock anthem for an adoring crowd.

It was alright. They have pool and karaoke which is fun. The shot glasses are too big to BJ shots with though. It's nicely kept.
