Artistic director David Sefton puts together season after season of world, classical, and alt music such as Tania Libertad, The Kronos Quartet, and Laurie Anderson, world-class dance and performance art, cutting edge theater, and trippy talks (this year by such luminaries as Werner Herzog, John Updike, David Sedaris, and Oliver Sacks). I love the fact that I can create my own series for a nice discount. Come an hour early for a light dinner or snap up some sweets to down with the wine and beer they offer at their concession stand -- on a good night, you can bring your munchies outside onto Ahmanson Terrace and feel blessed to be alive under the L.A. moon.
