The original Uber Sausage opened in 2011 in a tiny space on East Colfax Avenue. For their sophomore effort, though, owners Marco Macchiaroli, Alex Gschwend, Brad Arguello and Henry DeMetteis signed on for a much bigger, two-level space on the edge of LoHi. This Uber, which opened in spring 2013, offers the familiar sausage sandwiches as well as several new dishes, including salads, a burger, a Southern fried-chicken sandwich, and sweet and savory wrap- and waffle-centric breakfasts. You can eat in, but for nostalgia’s sake, there’s also a front patio with picnic benches for those who’d like to snarf their sausages outside – and take in the incredible view of downtown Denver.
