Twisters, a New Mexico-based chain, has four locations in metro Denver. But even though it’s a chain, it doesn’t serve fast food -- as evidenced by its lengthy, made-to-order menu. You can get burritos of the breakfast, specialty or build-your-own variety, plus enchiladas, combination platters, New Mexican specialties and such American favorites as burgers and chicken sandwiches -- all of which can be ordered draped in the near-addictive red or green chile that the kitchen dishes up. All of the eateries are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the friendly (and quick) service and tasty food draws crowds at every meal.
