Some will tell you this is the best burger in Dallas. Debatable-though what isn't debatable are the wealth of topping options likely to please almost any palate. The adult shakes bring the joy back to ice cream and milk. Fun place, but be prepared for lines in peak hours.

    We were sad to see that the elk sausage and fried mac 'n' cheese were off the menu on our last visit to Twisted Root, but you can still get a buffalo burger and sweet potato chips (with a dusting of cinnamon), which are tops on our list. But for those hoping to avoid a future of getting drunk on milkshakes and packing on calories from hamburgers, the turkey burger is a way to satisfy your craving for meat without all the guilt. Unlike most places that use ground turkey, Twisted Root serves up a slice of moist turkey meat and places it on a wheat bun. And, like everything else on the menu, they are happy to customize it any way you like it. We like a slice of Swiss cheese and bacon, but then we're just extra health-conscious.

    Really great burger and fried goodness. The seating situation stresses me out though with big crowds...ugh!

    Commerce must be the street for good burgers, between Twisted Root and Angry Dog. So good, and definitely a go-to when you need hangover food.
