Description

Tucker's Place is known first and foremost for its great steaks. Each location -- there are three total -- serves up filets, sirloins, strips and porterhouses alongside a pizza menu. Tucker's also has a variety of specials, including "prime time Tuesday," which offers diners either a 16 or 24-ounce prime rib for $14.95 or $18.95, respectively. Tucker's is also one of the most laid-back places to meet friends for drinks in Soulard's booming bar scene. The dark wood bar and dim lighting give it a classic vibe, but the slightly more formal dining area make it a suitable place to take a date or meet up with friends or family for a great meal.

    We love their thin St. Louis style pizza and the house special thick pork chop is incredible. However, they along with the entire state of Missouri need to go smokeless. Oh, I forgot that their ranch dressing is awesome. (not institutional)

    MMMMMM tasty steaks! If you want to try something different order the shrimp poppers...they aren't on the menu but they will make them if you ask for them. I really love this place!

    go in here on a friday night around 8 p.m. and get a beer at the bar. there are people pounding on tables, shouting, joking and generally having a good time. tucker's has wooden walls, wooden tables and i think they'd give you wooden plates it it was sanitary. seems to draw a diverse crowd (bikers on iphones next to couples on dates). there are specials written on a chalkboard, i opted for the 18 oz. filet mignon, which is filling. It's kind of how imagine a casual steakhouse should be.
