Description

Think all Scottsdale bars are full of throbbing electronic music and frolic fashionistas? Think again. Populated by punks, indie rockers, and bikers alike, TT Roadhouse is where you can enjoy a pint of Stella or Smithwick's, a game of pool, and one of the most killer jukeboxes around (featuring CDs from The Misfits, The Clash, Elvis Costello, and The Specials). Dollar drink specials are available most nights, local bands are known to stage the occasional gig here, and there's plenty of parking for either your Harley or Huffy.

  • 2011 | Best Neighborhood Bar, Scottsdale

There's no denying that Scottsdale has got the club scene locked down, but sometimes you don't feel like waiting in line for a drink or getting all gussied up to go have one. That isn't to say that T.T. Roadhouse is slouchy, but it's certainly relaxed. Styled as a British biker bar, the Roadhouse is stocked with ales and harder stuff and features the Valley's best jukebox, hands down, loaded with punk and pub rock fare. DJs rule the sounds on some nights, but don't show up expecting trendy... More »

  • 2010 | Best Neighborhood Bar, Scottsdale

TT Roadhouse likes to present itself as a quasi-biker bar, but it's far from it. Actually, despite the posturing (this is Scottsdale, after all), it has more the feel of a British pub than anything. Dimly lit, lined with heavy wood, and staffed by bartenders who are wary of folks they don't know, it's everything a neighborhood bar should be. TT has pool, darts, and a solid jukebox, but the conversation you'll find bellied up to the cramped but comfortable bar is the real draw. TT's been... More »

  • 2007 | BEST NEIGHBORHOOD BAR, SCOTTSDALE

A neighborhood bar needs to be the kind of place you can wander into wearing jeans without having to worry that you're underdressed. The kind of place where you can play darts or shoot pool and knock back a couple of cheap drinks without some jerk in a shiny shirt asking for your number. That's why we love TT's. A refreshing break from the dance clubs just up the street in Scottsdale, at TT's, tattooed arms and neighborhood drinkers far outnumber bottle blondes trolling for a sugar daddy. On... More »

  • 2003 | BEST PLACE TO DITCH LAST MONTH'S FLAVOR

Sure, breaking up is hard to do. Especially when it comes to gauging the reaction of the one being dumped. Will they cry Will they come out swingin' Will they scream at you like Bobby Knight It is really hard to make that call. We suggest you take them some place . . . different to cut them loose. At TT Roadhouse, the parting of ways will fly well below radar. If the distraught individual starts to cry, the place is dark enough so no one will see. Let's say that the person is a feisty... • 2002 | Best Jukebox

Is it nostalgia Or maybe the sing-along factor Something about the music at TT Roadhouse (oh, and that hot poster of Brigitte Bardot in leather hiphuggers) sets the place apart from being an ordinary pub. Guinness definitely goes down more easily with a little Ramones, some Bad Brains, and a healthy dose of Misfits. And you can't help feeling camaraderie along with your buzz when everyone around you knows the words to the Johnny Cash song on the jukebox. Throw in some ska and reggae tunes... More »
