The colossal Toyota Center has become the salvation of superstar music acts such as Metallica, Foo Fighters and Lil' Wayne when they roll into town. When the Rockets and the Aeros are away, the playing surfaces are removed, adding 700 seats on the floor for a staggering grand total of 19,000 possible attendees. The red seats, comfortable even if you're very tall, give a clear shot of the stage no matter where you're sitting. Plus, if you're just too far away, two overhead screens reveal the action onstage. The sound is top-notch, though beware of the seats off to the side, which can experience echo from time to time. But no worries, since it's predominantly a sporting venue, you can rest assured that your next adult beverage is just a quick jaunt up or down the stairs from where you're seated at one of more than 30 bars. The drinks aren't cheap, so bring your mortgage papers. A loan officer is there to help.

Hockey's a sport that truly needs to be seen in person. And the Houston Aeros make it possible to see the games while sitting in great seats with the best prices in Houston. The Aeros aren't a major league club. The team plays in the AHL minor league. But the team offers something that one doesn't see most nights with the Astros, the Rockets or the Texans: a group of kids who care. These kids need to hustle, to play at full speed, with passion and fire. That's the only way they're going to... More »
Toyota Center You have to pay admission to use these facilities. What's new? You have to buy a sandwich if you plan to drop a dook in Subway. While it's nothing special aesthetically, the Toyota Center Restroom Committee seemed to pay special attention to an issue many larger venues often forget: the sheer number of toilets. If an entire Rockets crowd decided to head to the head during halftime, they'd be covered. (Well, maybe not, but a Comets crowd for sure.) Another reason the Toyota... More »
