Its name notwithstanding, Tower Tacos is more a full-fledged Mexican restaurant than a taqueria. A small, inviting spot west of what has come to be known as Cherokee Street's Mexican neighborhood, here you will find tasty chicken, steak and seafood dishes served in the tried-and-true meat/rice/refried beans arrangement. Try chori pollo, pineapple-marinated chicken with chorizo sausage. Tacos may not come in as many varieties as at a taqueria, but they're no less tasty. The generous torta sandwiches are practically a meal for two.
