Among Denver's legendary dives, Tom's stands out: It's the absolute best spot for watching Denver's insomniac-freak community while eating decent diner grub. Sure, there are holes in the windows that may or may not be from bullets, and locks on the bathroom doors. But Tom's also features great servers and a real opportunity to get up close and personal with Denver nightlife.
Excellent service, everyone on staff was very upbeat and friendly. Great food at a more than reasonable price. The atmosphere was lovely as well. We will definitely be back for more!
Best green chile buritto in Denver
Just had a great homecooked soup & meal. Nicest server in years. Big spacious booths, perfect place to eat, read, chat, and even work. Coming back.

Tom's Diner holds a special spot in the pantheon of Denver's 24-hour dives, a special spot in the hearts and bellies of the cops who police it, the night creatures who haunt it, the off-duty strippers, cabbies, hookers and bartenders who frequent... More »
The Tom-Tom club: Tom's Diner isn't the only place in town named after a true Tom cat. For almost three years now, Tom Unterwagner has been cooking up a storm at Tom's Home Cookin', a Southern-inspired takeout joint at 3403 Holly Street. But that... More »
While waiting for our food to arrive at Tom's Diner, we gaze out the window and watch two drug deals, one hooker pickup and a drunk depositing the contents of his stomach on the sidewalk. And our food arrives fast. "Oooh, sorry about that," the... More »
There isn't a big market for cheese fries and softcore porn, but Tom's Diner has it cornered. A nightly 3 a.m. destination for hopped-up club-goers and insomniacs, the friendly restaurant is outfitted with a number of Touch Maxx games, heaven-sent by the touch-screen mini-arcade bar gods. The black idiot boxes rest on the edge of yellow-upholstered booths and provide at least five to ten minutes of greasy-fingered fun between coffee refills. There's music trivia and word scramble, but the... More »
Denver has an abundance of dives -- some murky, some dark, some that smell funny, some that are just plain dangerous. There are joints, holes-in-the-wall and hellholes of every description in this town, but Tom's takes the prize, because depending on what day of the week and what hour of the day you arrive, Tom's can be any (or all) of these things. Squatting colorfully on one of the worst corners in the city, crime-wise, by day Tom's is a great place for watching the world go by while... More »
Hookers and junkies and bums, oh my! One night at Tom's is better than a whole week's worth of Cops on cable. True connoisseurs of dive culture will appreciate both the window seats looking onto one of the funkiest street corners in Denver -- the intersection of Colfax and Pearl -- and the sort of nightlife that creeps, crawls, slinks and stumbles right inside and sits down next to you. While the scenery is fantastic (in every sense of the word), the menu offers all your standard diner fare,... More »
