Still, the backyard bocce ball court tucked just behind Tin Roof Bistro in the Manhattan Village Mall is unique enough to send you back, especially if you've got a first-rate glass of wine in your hand. Inside, the bistro serves everyday California fare like burgers, caramelized Brussels sprouts, wood-fire pizzas and a few plucky seafood dishes. The real draw doesn't come from inside the dim, wood-heavy dining room. It's all about the outside at Tin Roof Bistro, be it the warmly lit patio or back on that bocce court, as you sip away on a mid-range Central Coast wine while the PCH rolls by in the background.
