Talk about non-descript - Tim's on 105th doesn't even have exterior signage to advertise itself, unless you count the white lettering outside that reads TAVERN. What's most striking about Van's is how bright it is inside, a beacon of light in a relatively hardscrabble North Seattle neighborhood. Rockabilly quietly plays on the jukebox and the Mariners are on the TV. It's a tiny space usually frequented and staffed by older gentlemen, a cozy little haven away from the younger generation's rowdy bar crowds.
