Complimenting a sports bar for its televisions is akin to complimenting a supermodel for her looks - it's redundant and unnecessary. To paraphrase the classic Chris Rock routine, "Sports bars are supposed to have big TVs!" That being said, the boob tubes at this popular chain's south Tempe location deserve special mention, simply because of their sheer size. We're talking an HDTV projector with a screen that literally stretches from floor to ceiling, giving a whole new meaning to the term "larger than life." Then again, that's pretty much the standard at Tilted Kilt, from the oversize pint glasses to the monstrous 10-ounce hamburger patties (yes, a double is available). And who needs pitchers when you can order a beer tube? The tubes come in 70- and 100-ounce sizes, basically providing a tap right at your table. Don't forget to bring some friends, though, because you'll need some help finishing one. In keeping with the bar's Celtic theme, the 17th of every month is deemed "St. Practice Day," with green beer and drink specials to keep you in shape for the real Saint Patty's throwdown in March.
