Description

The restaurant may still have New American leanings, as opening dishes like crab cakes with orange-chipotle sauce suggested. But it has since drifted west, with chef Dan Landsberg crafting upscale country cuisine-meaning venison frito pie, port-glazed quail, salmon with Texas honey and the ever popular chicken-fried hanger steak. Of course, you can also settle in the lounge for a drink and some of their popcorn with truffled butter.

    Giant delicious salads. I want to go back for the Venison Frito Pie.

    Delicious and worth the wait on the weekends. Menu is very innovative comfort-style food, with highlights being the venison frito pie, honey glazed salmon, and trio of fries appetizer. Lunch is great as well, especially the daily grilled cheese with soup du jour.

    Although there are several notable dining spots in the Bishop Arts District, Tillman's Roadhouse--an Oak Cliff staple since it opened as Tillman's Corner in 1992--is one that's sure to lasso you in.
