With only 12 stools and a handful of tables, Tiki-Ti is about the size of a real tiki hut. But what Tiki-Ti lacks in size, it makes up for in drinks and personality. Original mixologist Ray Buhen passed off his secret recipes for tropical drinks to his son and grandson, who now serve up 86 of his exotic specialties. Note that the bar does not serve beer or wine.

Tiki Ti may be diminutive, but the drinks and atmosphere are anything but. With its 90 different concoctions to choose from and décor brimming with tropical tchotchkes, entering this little shack can be overwhelming, to say the least. Add to that the bounteous boozy body bunches and giddy smokers (a loophole in the law regarding owner-operated-and-staffed establishments allows them to ignore the cigarette ban) and this Silver Lake bar is big in every way but size, recalling another... remember thinking that when i first saw it across from ye old electronics dump (cc or bb?)... an attractive outhouse that serves fabulous fruity drinks?! hear it's becoming a brobar now, though- i bet it's still great if you're smart about it.
if you haven't been here yet you NEED to go-at least once, but 3 things to keep in mind: CASH ONLY!!! ODD HOURS/DAYS it's TINY!( seats about 44 people) and if you go on a FRI or SAT. night- you may have to wait a while to get in and you may only want to stay for the one drink. they are like $9- 15 each! It's an experience !, but just be prepared.
There once were many oases of tiki delights in LA, but they've all gone now. Only Tiki Ti remains, and bless them for it. Sit down at the end of the bar, grab some nibbles, ask Mike & Mike to pour you a tall highball glass of Polynesian artistry and have a good time. (Have more than one drink and that's virtually guaranteed)
