In the Miss Seattle Cupcake pagent, Yellow Leaf would be voted "Most Likely to Take Chances." The signature cake's tomato soup-basically a spice cake from a wacky Depression-era recipe-and the bakers regularly feature flavors like white chocolate pretzel (good), vanilla toffee (order two), and root beer float (skip). The distinctive element of these cupcakes is their silky, gossamer Italian buttercream.
