The only venue in South Florida to see all-female casts on a regular basis, the Women's Theatre Project runs with the tag line "By Women, About Women and For Everyone." Situated inside Sixth Star Studios in Fort Lauderdale's FAT Village District, the Women's Theatre Project has the feel of an Off-Off-Broadway space - scrappy, intimate, and affordable, but still packing an occasionally devastating dramatic punch. At other times, the theater's selection of material is dubious, and inherently limited by the restrictive, gals-only niche it has imposed on itself. Still, the Women's Theatre Project gives this minority voice a powerful bullhorn.
