We thought we loved the Vig (and, okay, we do), but then we started going to this, the newest Vig in town, and are mad for it, too. Our mom likes the deconstructed fish taco; we always go for one of the hearty burgers and a cold draft. The staff here is a hoot; we love how they remember our favorite beer each time we sidle up to the bar, and did we mention that fish taco? It's great with the house salad and an order of crispy fries-a single order is enough for the whole table.

The food variety on the menu meant there was something to make everyone in our big group happy, and after we were done eating it was nice to hang out, drink some beers, and play bocce ball and bean bag toss on the indoor/outdoor patio. I've been once before for happy hour too, which is also pretty awesome.
You can drink a bloody Mary any time of the day, but the optimum time is mid-morning, just after you've somehow managed to get out of bed, hangover headache pounding, and showed up a few minutes late to that brunch date you poorly scheduled the day before. "Hair of the dog" doesn't sound appetizing, but in the hands of the Vig Uptown's capable bartenders, the morning-after elixir is something special. Garnished with lemon, lime, olives, and liberally peppered, the Vig's take on the classic... More »
It's hard to top an original, so we'd like to give special props to the folks who made The Vig Uptown a fitting follow-up to its popular home in Arcadia. This new location of the stylish watering hole manages to offer the same appealing menu -- excellent nachos with succulent pork, a potato pancake topped with carne asada, the VigAzz burger topped with peppered bacon and smoked Gouda, and finger-lickin'-good "vings" (grilled chicken wings) -- as well as a similarly bumpin'...
