Description
The Swing Station feels like the type of place you'd find in the middle of nowhere -- which is exactly where it's located. Its down-home feeling is accentuated by a bright pine bar with ample seating. In fact, the whole bar is covered in bright colors, a welcome change from the usual dark atmosphere found in most venues. It's a traditional cowboy honky-tonk, with live, classic Americana music at least five nights a week on an outdoor stage during the summer and an indoor stage for the winter months. It's not unusual to spot cowboy boots or a ten-gallon hat, and it likewise wouldn't be surprising to see a horse tied up outside. The Swing Station is also a community hangout, and one of the few bars where children are welcome and don't seem out of place.
