Description

Although the Shag is furnished with mod and tiki decor, the folks that frequent the club are a completely different breed. For the most part, it's a young, hip crowd with a fair amount of skaters, especially during the Shag's now infamous Scumbag Sundays.

Bartenders cuter than little puppies, drinks flowing like Niagara falls, and atmosphere like CBGB's at its prime. The Cheers … where everybody tries to forget your name. Dress code: Whatever you wore yesterday. Jeans off the floor already containing your wallet, phone, and receipt from the bar last night, cleanest dirty shirt, and the finest looking sweatshirt west of the Mississippi. Decor: Outside - patio with smoking access and outdoor heating lamps, accessible seating, and a chance to meet our friendly local door guys. Inside - comfy, stylish seating with the only sanitized stripper pole in Denver. Full, well-stocked bar featuring tequilas handpicked by the boss, a wide assortment of cheap canned beers, and enough PBR on tap to quench your undying thirst. Also a place to casually shotgun an 8 oz $1 Coors light. It's the perfect spot to meet the girl of your dreams dancing shirtless on a "Panty Raid Thursday" to the beats of Boyhollow and MADA. You may leave with a free giveaway shirt to lend to that special someone you take home to sleep in. Sundays begin with you calling in sick on Monday as soon as possible or just invite your boss down to get a shot and PBR for that hands on approach. Shag's got 3 dollar u call its and $2 PBR for on special. Djs Boyhollow and Soup create a dance floor of uncontrolled madness. You may return to your house saying I thought I was only gonna have one drink and then wonder if the "one drink" was put in a foot long Vegas style plastic cup. The Shag Lounge offers Mod decor (ball chairs, atomic-age finishes and cool lamps) and some of the hottest bartenders in town. There's a video jukebox with a whole lotta music, an open-to-the-street front wall with adjoining patio. Thursday night is Panty Raid (fun skate and snow industry nights with giveaways), Saturdays are So Damn Down with the Denver Diggers' DJ Low Key, and Scumbag Sundays are always packed with $2 PBR, DJ Soup and more.
