There is a reason the bebidas (drinks) and tequilas (self-explanatory) menus are listed before any of the food on The Saint's web site. The food is fairly standard Mexican fare at reasonable prices. The reason you go to The Saint in Capitol Hill is to sip one of the more than 80 tequilas on the menu or enjoy cocktails (including one of the best margaritas in town) featuring their signature liquor. After a "Maria" why would anyone go back to plain ol' vodka Bloody Mary's? The menu's highlights include slow-roasted pork in banana leaves, tender and spicy, and chicken mole-potent, dark reddish-brown sauce poured amply over legs and breast pieces. In addition to dinner and drinks, The Saint will also offer word-of-mouth perks such as a card that will grant you no-waiting access to Havana-which on some nights is the only club on the hill to generate a string of dressed-up revelers at the door.
