Description
With a spacious layout that includes three dance floors and three bars, the Ruby is home to some of the city's liveliest and longest-running dance promotions: Thursday's spanking industrial-dance party Perversion, Friday's mix of multidecade dance dementia called Clockwork Orange and Saturday's electro-indie rock-hipster happening Club Bang! All parties are over 18, so in general this is a youthful romper-stomper with the focus on fashion and hooking up. Its Hollywood Boulevard location does shake up the usual club-kid clientele from time to time, though. Ruby's may not be a popular destination with 30-somethings or above, but for newbie night-hoppers, it's a perpetual pit stop.
