The Rouxpour gives its customers a taste of New Orleans – whether they like it or not. The rowdy restaurant in Sugar Land's Town Square has more of a sports bar climate, but the dark roux-based gumbo is authentically excellent. Po-boys and muffalettas, on the other hand, are more sandwiches than anything else, but wash down nicely with a beer. Oysters are recommended only during happy hour, when you won't feel so bad paying 50 cents for something so small.
