Event Review: Bawdy Blue: A Burlesque Revue
Founded in June of 2010, Bawdy Blue is the love child of Poppy Raucous and “Nickels and Lube” productions, performing its first show in a warehouse to a crowd of about 70 people – a wild ride of a debut performance, they only made it through their first 5 of 20 some-odd sets before the Minneapolis swat team put a damper on the panty-party. Coming back strong to perform 2 sold out shows at Bryant Lake Bowl, Bawdy Blue has continued to perform monthly everywhere from The Loft and The Saloon in downtown Minneapolis, all the way up to Virginia, Minnesota.
A band of miscreant-glamour-queens, Bawdy Blue's performers are back with an all new show on their biggest stage yet!
Bawdy Blue: A Burlesque Revue is taking over The Ritz Theater, bringing to its stage their signature style of over the top, unpredictable, sexy, dirty, classy-meets-trashy burlesque! Bawdy's troupe of sex cats and kittens have prepared a wild new show featuring your “True Blue” favorites alongside some sure-to-be showstopping new faces.
Enjoy of night of twists and turns, as Bawdy Blue tantalizes and taunts with acts ranging from just-plain-pretty to what-the-F$!k-is-that – as only they know how.
