In its second-floor perch in downtown Long Beach, the large,
concrete-floored, utilitarian space draws a largely African-American
clientele, and hosts comics who poke fun at life's grittier experiences.
(Look for comedienne D.D. Rainbow, who mixes the bitter with the sweet when
she riffs on her father's experiences with dementia.) The full bar serves up
stiff drinks and a modest selection of draft beers including the
ever-delicious wheat ale, Blue Moon.
