Description

Think of any popular corner bar in Northeast Minneapolis. Subtract hipsters and take $2 off the price of all drinks, and you might have The Nickel Joint. Bikers, blue-collars and regulars keep it working class inside the windowless brick Frogtown building. Thursdays feature bean bag leagues and Saturdays host meat raffles, bingo and karaoke.

    Been going there since the early 60's...Born in 58. My Dad was going in there before WWII. Just a nice, relaxing, drinking man's saloon. Kind of like a poor man's,"Cheers". Lotsa Fun stuff going on, Twins games, Golf tourney's - Big St Patty's Day happening. A new cool thing - Free Juke box 9PM till midnite on Fri's....Come say Hi to the Mickster. Howie R.
